Goyalpara Prapannashram (Goyalpara, Assam)
A preaching center was established in Goalpara, Assam through the efforts of Srila Prabhupada’s dear disciple Sripad Nimananda Sevatirtha Prabhu. Its name was Goyalpara Prapannashrama. From this place the spiritual magazine, “Kirtan” was published in Assamese language. No deity was established here.
Sri Ramananda Gaudiya Math (Kabbur, West Godavari)
On July 5, 1932, in the presence of Srila Prabhupada, the deities of
Sri Sri Guru Gauranga Radha Govinda Jiu were installed at that place where Sri Raya Ramananda met Sriman Mahaprabhu. This is known as Sri Ramananda Gaudiya Math. It was the very spot where Sri Rayaramananda discussed thr Sadhya-Sadhana Tattva with Mahaprabhu.
Sri Gaudiya Math (Madras, now Chennai)
On Saturday 23rd January 1932 AD, in the presence of Srila Prabhupada, Sri Sri Guru Gauranga Gandharbika Giridhari were installed in a rented house in the city of Madras (now Chennai). On the same day a grand meeting was held under the chairmanship of Srila Prabhupada to initiate the construction of a big temple. After that Srila Prabhupada laid the foundation stone at the land collected for the monastery amdist Nama Sankirtan.
Sri Gaudiya Math (Gaya)
On 22nd April 1935, in the presence of Srila Prabhupada, a branch of Gaudiya Math was established in a rented house at Gaya Dham (Church Road, Hillside, Gaya) in Bihar. On 13th November 1935 AD the deities of Sri Sri Guru Gauranaga Gandharvika Giridhari and Sri Jagannath Balaram Subhadra Sudarshan were installed in this Math. Srila Prabhupada was present there.
Sri Gaudiya Math (Patna)
On Tuesday 14th November 1933, a branch of the Gaudiya Math was established in the Kadamkumma area of Patna along with the opening of the Patna Spiritual Exhibition. In the month of January 1934 AD, this matha was shifted to No. 100 Mithapur Bankipur. On 14th August 1934 AD the deities of Sri Guru Gauranga Sri Vinoda Govindananda Jiu were installed in this matha by Srila Prabhupada.
Danapur Gaudiya Mathalaya (Danapur, Patna)
Srila Prabhupada and his disciples set up the Danapur Gaudiya Mathalaya in a house near Patna during preaching and spiritual exhibitions there. Neither monastery nor the deity was established there.
Sri Sanatana Gaudiya Math (Varanasi)
In 1332 Bengali era, i.e. 1926 AD, Srila Prabhupada traveled to North India. He went to Naimisaranya via Ayodhya From Varanasi . During this time Sri Sanatana Gaudiya Math was established in a rented house in Belupura, Varanasi. On 2nd October 1927 AD, Srila Prabhupada installed the deities of “Sri Sri Guru Gauranga Vinoda vinoda Jiu” here.
Sri Rupa Gaudiya Math (Allahabad present name Prayagraj)
In memory of Sri Rupa Goswami’s meeting with Sriman Mahaprabhu,
at Triveni Sangam Allahabad (now Prayagraj), Srila Prabhupada established the Sri Rupa Gaudiya Math there on 30th October 1929. The place was considered as “Sri Rupa shikshasthali” (the place where Sri Rupa Goswami received teachings from Mahaprabhu). In the following year i.e. 1930 AD, he installed the deities of Sri Gaura Radha Govinda Jiu in this Matha.
Paramahansa Math (Naimisharanya)
As per the desire of Srila Prabhupada, on November 23, 1927, the Paramahamsa Matha was established in Sitapur district of Naimisharanya. It was a branch of Sri Chaitanya Math under the supervision of Visva Vaishnava-Raja Sabha (World Vaishnava Association). In this Matha Srila Prabhupada installed Sri Sri Guru Gauranga Sri Vinoda Vilasa Jiu on the same day. Srila Prabhupada built the Naimisaranya Bhagavata Pathshala for the study of Srimad Bhagavatam in the matha.
Sri Saraswata Gaudiya Math (Saharanpur, Haridwar)
The foundation of Sri Saraswata Gaudiya Matha was initiated at Haridwar in Saharanpur district of Uttar Pradesh on Friday 4 November 1932. of Srila Prabhupada was present there.
Sri Gaudiya Math (Delhi)
On 16th January 1929, Srila Prabhupada rented a house in Doctor Lane, New Delhi. From there he started preaching in the city of Delhi through his dedicated disciples. Later on 6th December 1929, Sri Gaurasundara and Radha Govinda deities were installed there. After some time this Matha was shifted to 45 Hanuman Road. The monastery was there for a long time.
Shri Vyasa Gaudiya Matha (Kurukshetra)
On November 8, 1928, Srila Prabhupada established the Sri Vyasa Gaudiya Math at Kurukshetra. The temple carried the memory of the intense love of the Vraja Gopis for Krishna who left them and went to Mathura. In this Matha Srila Prabhupada installed the deities of Sri Sri Guru Gauranga Radha Vinoda Rama piyari Jiu (pranarama of Bhaktivinoda) on 5th Agrahayana, 1334 Bengal Era, 20 November , 1927. In 1936, on the occasion of Solar eclipse, Srila Prabhupada inaugurated an exhibition at this place called ‘Sat Shiksha pradarshani’ ( Exhibition of Spiritual teachings).
Baleshwar Gaudiya Mathalaya (Baleswar, Odisha)
Srila Prabhupada and his disciples set up a preaching center at a house in Baleshwar. The objective was to preach in different parts of Orissa keeping Baleshwar in the centre. No monastery or deity was established there.
Sri Gaudiya Matha (Bombay, now Mumbai)
Srila Prabhupada established a branch of the Gaudiya Math on 15th May 1933 at Babul Nath Road in Yagguvilla, Bombay, India. This was the main office of the Gaudiya Math for the preaching mission in European countries. On 8th July 1935 AD, Monday, Srila Prabhupada installed Sri Sri Guru Gauranga Vinoda Vaibhavananda Jiu in this Matha. At this time the Matha was moved to Proktar Road near GT road.
Sri Gaudiya Math (Rangoon)
On the appearance day of Sriman Mahaprabhu, Sunday 8th March 1936 AD, one of the preachers of Sri Gaudiya Math, Srimad Bhakti Sarvasva Giri Maharaj, established a centre of Sri Gaudiya Math at No. 29 Brooking Street, Rangoon (Brahmadesh).
Sri Vasudeva Gaudiya Math (London)
Srila Prabhupada sent a group of three preachers to open a centre in London. On 4th May 1933 at 39 Droughton Gardens, Kensington Street, London, a preaching centre was established. This is London Gaudiya Math, the first and foremost Vishnu temple in London.
Sri Gaudiya Math (Berlin, Germany)
Srila Prabhupada’s beloved disciple Srimad Bhakti Hridaya Vana maharaja started his journey to London to preach the teachings of Mahaprabhu. At that time he arrived in Berlin,Germany from London. From Berlin he brought two gentlemen to India. They were influenced by the teachings of Sriman Mahaprabhu. They got initiated by Srila Prabhupada. Srimad Bhakti Hridaya Vana Maharaja established a preaching center in Berlin, Germany at that time. This was known as Sri Gauriya Matha (Berlin, Germany).
