Sri Chaitanya Padapith
Sri Chaitanya Padapith in Kurma Kshetra :
On 26th December 1930, Srila Prabhupada along with his Devotees started a journey towards Sri Kurmaksetra. The Singhadwar (Main Gate) of that Temple was very attractive. Shalgram rock is being adorned on the neck of Sri Kurmamadeva by all the owners. Srila Prabhupada along with the devotees bowed to Srikurmadeva. Priests welcomed Prabhupada with a Garland of Flowers which was first offered to God.
Then Srila Prabhupada went towards the newly constructed Sri Chaitanya Pad Pith. First Srila Prabhupada washed the Sri Pad Pith with the water of River Ganga. Then he performed Aarti with fragrant flowers, Chandan, Incense sticks, etc. Devotees were doing Kirtan of Mahamantra. After the aarti, there was Hari Dhani from all sides. Devotees after giving Puspanjali followed Prabhupada and prostrated before the Deity. After that Srila Prabhupada ordered his disciple Brahmacharis to read about Mahaprabhu’s journey of Kurmaksetra from Sri Chaitanya Charitamrita.
Sri Chaitanya Padapith in Sri Simhachalam :
On 27th December 1930, Srila Prabhupada arrived in Sinhachal mountain. First Srila Prabhupada washed the Sri Pada Pith with the water of River Ganga. Then he performed Aarti with fragrant flowers, Chandan, Incense sticks, etc. Devotees after giving Puspanjali followed Prabhupada and prostrated before the Deity. After that Srila Prabhupada ordered his disciple Brahmacharis to read about the 8th Chapter of Madhya Leela from Sri Chaitanya Charitamrita.
Sri Chaitanya Padapith in Kabhur :
Srila Prabhupada went to Kabhur from Sinhachal by Madras Mail. On 29th December 1930, Srila Prabhupada did the Abhishek puja (Worship) of Padapith. Sri Vasudev Prabhu read Sri Ramananda Sangbad from Sri Chaitanya Charitamrita. Sri Bon Maharaj gave a speech on Sri Ramananda Sangbad in English. Advocate Srijukta Surya Narayan Mahaday explained to everybody in Telugu. This place was earlier in Orissa and Sri Ramananda Ray was the Governor of this place. Here Mahaprabhu met with Sri Rairamananda.
Sri Chaitanya Padapith near Pana-Narsingh of Mangal Giri :
On 31st December 1930, Srila Prabhupada arrived from Kabhur to Mangal Giri. Giri was situated at a high altitude. Prabhupada climbed the hill along with his Devotees by singing Kirtan. After climbing the hill Prabhupada sat before the newly built Temple at Sri Chaitanya Padpith and started speaking Hari Katha to his disciples. That day was Ekadashi. After that, he asked his disciples to do Kirtan and he himself started doing abhishek puja (worship) of Sri Gour Padpith. After that, he completed arati & puspanjali. Then he completed Pradakshin (moving around the Temple) 4 times. His disciples also followed him by offering Puspanjali and doing Pradakshina. Sri Haygriba Brahmachari and Devakinandan Brahmachari had already arranged the essential items for doing Puja.
Sri Chaitanya Padapith in Jajpur :
Around 1511A.D., Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu came to Jajpur and visited the famous temple of Srivaraha Deva there and danced with joy. On 31st December 1930, Srila Prabhupada established Sri Chaitanya Padapith at this place.
Sri Chaitanya Padapith in Chatrabhog :
On 2nd April 1934, Srila Prabhupada arrived in Chatra Bhog and established Sri Chaitanya Padpith in memory of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. Ambu-Linga Shiv is here. Mahaprabhu travelled here. This place is located in 24 Parganas.
Sri Chaitanya Padapith in Sri Mandar:
There is a mention of SriMandarmountain in Puranas. In Satya Yuga, during Samudra Manthan (the churning of Milky Ocean) Suras (Angels) and Asuras (Demons) used this mountain as a “Manthandanda” to churn the Divine ocean of Milk. “Mandare Madhusudan”.Chaitanya Mahaprabhu came here to see Sri Madhusudan. In 1929, Srila Prabhupada along with his disciples climbed this Mountain and established Sri Chaitanya Padpith. The money required to build the Temple was donated by Jamindar Sri Indranarayan Chandra Mahasaya. Mandar is situated in Bhagalpur in Bihar.
Sri Chaitanya Padapith in Kanai Natshala :
Among local people, this place is known as “Kanaiyar – Sthan”. This place is surrounded by forest. The Temple is situated on the top of a hill. There is the Deity of Radha and Krishna and Salagram inside the Temple. On 12 October 1929, Srila Prabhupada along with his disciples went to Natsala village and established Sri Goura PadPith. The money required to build the Temple was donated by SrijuktaUpendra Narayan Mandal. During Hari, Katha Prabhupada said that Mahaprabhu came here in 1426.
