Pranaam Mantra of Sri Brahmanya Tirtha:
“Kamsa dhvansi padambhojsamsakto hamsapungavah
Brahmanya Gururajakhyo vartatam mam manaso”
Brahmanya Tirtha was the third Acharya after his guru, Vidyadhiraja Tirtha, in the lineage of Rajendra Tirtha. Very little is known about him. He held the seat of Acharya from 1416 to 1467 AD. Brahminya Tirtha spent most of his life at his ancestral home in Channapatna. He established a monastery there which he later handed over to his disciple Sridhara Tirtha. That Math is now known as Kundupur Math. Another disciple of his was Vyasatirtha. By the grace of Brahmanya Tirtha, Vyasatirtha’s parents got him.
