Vrindavan is a holy town in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. It’s located on the west bank of the Yamuna River, about 15 kilometers north of Mathura. The name Vrindavan comes from the words “vrinda” (basil) and “van” (forest).
Vrindavan is a pilgrimage hub in the Braj region. It’s believed to be the place where Lord Krishna spent his childhood. The city is home to many temples and ashrams built by devotees of Lord Krishna.
